Governance
Bel isi PNG has a strong governance framework to ensure accountability of all funding and effectiveness of the programs.
The Bel isi PNG Steering Committee is co-chaired by Mr Kila Dick, (Manager- Social Services National Capital District Authority), and Mr Robin Fleming (BSP Group CEO). It includes representation from major donors and partners – Australian government, Oil Search, Bank of South Pacific, Steamships, Femili PNG, Business Coalition for Women, UN Women and the Family and Sexual Violence Action Committee. It also includes members with technical expertise in case management, safe house management, public relations, financial management and legal expertise. The Steering Committee meets quarterly with Oil Search Foundation serving as the Secretariat.
In addition to the Steering Committee the Oil Search Foundation Board and the Femili PNG Board, as significant stakeholders, each provide governance oversight with regular reports on progress, strategy and risk at quarterly board meetings. Bel isi PNG also reports to the Australian Government’s Pacific Women program which monitors the expenditure of the Australian Government grant.
