Australia High Commission celebrates International Women’s Day

The Australian High Commission staff donned purple to mark International Women’s Day.

Did you know that historically, purple was a colour that denoted justice and dignity, and is now used to represent women's rights?

In keeping with this year’s United Nations theme to “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”, let’s recognize the innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.
