Bel isi PNG Transition

Outgoing Bel isi PNG Chair and Managing Director - Steamships Trading Co. with Steamships staff at the Bel isi PNG Leadership Forum.

The Bel isi PNG transition is currently underway and several things have been achieved during the set up of Bel isi PNG Inc. as a standalone organisation.

The Bel isi PNG Board approved the appointment of Joan Maima as the new Executive Director for Bel isi PNG Inc. towards the end of April with a 6 month probation. Joan brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in the civil society organisations.

Bel isi PNG Inc. would like to acknowledge the departure of the current Bel isi PNG Board Chair, Rupert Bray. Some of the commitments Rupert has been instrumental in since his appointment as Board Chair have included providing oversight to the transition of Bel isi PNG to a standalone organisation and chairing both the inaugural Bel isi PNG Board and the first ever Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Ma 2024. On behalf of Bel isi PNG and partners, we would like to thank Rupert’s meaningful contributions in addressing Family & Sexual Violence (FSV) in PNG. Tenkyu tru Rupert and we wish you all the very best in your new exciting role.
